Rockville, Md. -OmniMeter is an open architecture, PDA-like (personal digital assistant) device integrating handheld computer components into a data collection and instrumentation device. This small (195x120x42 mm) RISC-based computer is designed around the 190 MHz processor with Microsoft Windows CE available as an option. Peripheral support includes a dual-slot (Type I, II, and III) PCMCIA connector, compact flash support, high- and low-speed IrDA (infrared) port, RS-232 serial port, touchscreen, and keys.
