Hands-On ZigBee Training Road Show

Friday Harbor, WA —San Juan Software will conduct a series of two-day, hands-on ZigBee training seminars with local Freescale representatives in U.S. cities beginning in mid-November. Training is designed for original-equipment manufacturers’ (OEMs) software-developers who want to design ZigBee technology into wireless monitoring and control products or who want to learn more about the technology. The registration fee $995 each, with all hardware and software provided for the seminar. The first three cities will be: Seattle, WA; Washington, DC, and Minneapolis, MN.

Through attending the seminars, experienced C programmers will:

  • Learn ZigBee technology benefits;

  • Gain proficiency in how to develop application software on Z-Stack from Figure 8 Wireless; and

  • Embed it in a Freescale HS08 microcontroller, to communicate over Freescale MC13193 transceivers.

Bob Heile, chairman of the ZigBee Alliance, commented “San Juan Software consistently scores high ratings from event attendees. They have been very involved in the ZigBee Alliance and have a broad knowledge base of understanding of the ZigBee standard and the ability to explain it.”

Training participants can receive a $500 discount on the ZigBee Evaluation Kit from Freescale. Upon registration for the training session a special code will be given together with instructions on how to purchase the MC13193 Evaluation Kit for $999, rather than $1,499 directly from Freescale’s website.
