Network-related conferences are listed among other upcoming industry meetings at the Control Engineering homepage calendar, at the bottom of www.controleng.com. These include the 12th Annual PTO General Assembly Meeting, Fieldbus Foundation free “Get on the Fast Track to Fieldbus” seminars, the 11th international CAN Conference, WINMEC RFID Executive Forum, and a free EtherNet/IP seminar from ODVA.
12th Annual PTO General Assembly Meeting , Aug. 1-3, Scottsdale, AZ, is preceded by a special Profisafe Developer Class and a Profisafe User Overview Class on July 31. The meetings intend to educate PTO members, vendors, and end-users about Profibus and Profinet markets, technologies, and applications. Topics include industrial Ethernet, Profibus and asset management, the wireless market, and end-user experiences.
Fieldbus Foundation continues its roadshow of free seminars to help people “Get on the Fast Track to Fieldbus.” Topics include economic justification of fieldbus, comparing fieldbus and conventional technologies, F OUNDATION fieldbus overview practices, High Speed Ethernet (HSE), and application examples.
