High current IGBT modules

Santa Clara, Calif. —A new series of 1,200 V IGBT modules has current ranges from 75 to 300 A per IGBT with companion FRED diode having the same ratings. Each module is suitable for PWM operation up to 30 kHz. Module series comes in three circuit topologies: dual IBVT half-bridge (MII); boost configuration (MID); and buck configuration (MDI).

New wafer-level burn-in cuts costs, cycle time

W. L. Gore and Associates Inc. recently launched two new products expected to reduce costs and accelerate production cycle times by about 25% each. Targeted at the semiconductor test market, GoreMate wafer contactors and Inferno wafer probe interconnect boards were developed to simultaneously contact all die on a 200 mm wafer during the burn-in cycle of the full wafer.

GE Fanuc says new software version easier, more flexible

To help users develop, commission, and maintain systems more efficiently, GE Fanuc unveiled Version 4.0 of its Cimplicity human-machine interface (HMI) on Sept. 21. The company says Cimplicity 4.0 combines an easy-to-use, intuitive graphical interface with new development and control tools, such as a system doctor, report manager, and action calendar.
