Intermec Technologies has opened a service center in Shanghai, China, to provide local language support and repair services for Intermec handheld devices, printers and other products.
The service center eliminates many of the customs fees to ship product in and out of China and reduces repair turnaround time from six weeks to just days. Through the new center, Intermec maintains an in-country service inventory in China and offers maintenance contracts for fast, affordable service on demand. Intermec customers across China will now receive service consistent with the standards enjoyed by companies located in the Americas.
Intermec maintains 18 service depots and through its certified service partners offers more than 80 local repair facilities around the world to service its full range of products.
