Johnson Controls, NovaTech alliance expands reach

Johnson Controls Inc. and NovaTech LLC announced a joint marketing and sales alliance to leverage the strengths of both companies and offer industrial and manufacturing companies a more complete range of products and services.

NovaTech provides “excellence in process automation, including the integration of‘best-in-class’ hardware and the ability to collect, manipulate, and display data from virtually anywhere in the process,” said Dave Love, director of the industrial market for Johnson Controls. “These offerings complement our energy management and environmental solutions.”

The alliance will allow NovaTech to offer customers “utility, environmental, and energy solutions that can be integrated with our process automation systems,” said Volker Oakey, chairman of NovaTech. Both companies serve industrial and marketing customers but there is little overlap of their respective product offerings, they say.

Johnson Controls manufactures automotive, facilities management, and control systems. NovaTech provides process automation and high-speed communication products, including the D/3 process automation system for monitoring and controlling production operations in drug, food, chemical, and energy industries.
