The SimSci-Esscor unit of Invensys Process Systems announced a new version of Pipephase simulation software that can use a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet as an interface. Pipephase Version 9.2 users can drag-and-drop multiphase flow model parameters (such as wellhead pressures, gas oil ratios, PVT data, pipeline diameters, and IPR constants) into Excel spreadsheets.
The software simulates multiphase flow in oil and gas wells and pipeline systems, and provides the power and flexibility to model applications ranging from sensitivity analysis of parameters in a single well to a multiyear facilities planning study for an entire field. The new version incorporates the SimSci-Esscor SIM4ME Portal, which enables the Microsoft Excel interface. Communication between the flow simulator and Excel is bi-directional and requires no coding skills of the user. www.ips.invensys.com Invensys Process Systems
