Waterloo, Ontario, Canada— Newly released by SST, the 5136-PMBS multi-slave Profibus interface card in ISA format is reported to be the first card that can assume more than one DP slave station address. Grayhill Inc. (LaGrange, Ill.) has signed an agreement to port Intellution's (Norwood, Mass.) Paradym-31 SoftLogic control software to Grayhill's PC-based OpenLine controller. As a result, on power-up, the OpenLine system scans the ID pins of each I/O point and populates the Paradym-31 database automatically.
