Chanhassen, Minn. – Rosemount , a division of Emerson Process Management , has introduced the 3051S Series of pressure measurement instrumentation. The 3051S is said to advance pressure measurement practices by providing improved functionality, performance, and installation/maintenance convenience.

The redesigned platform places new microelectronic in the same rugged enclosure with the pressure sensor. The result is an extremely small package (it looks to be half the size of the Rosemount’s previous offering, the familiar 3051 pressure transmitter) that will be mountable in wider range on in-plant locations, especially where existing space is limited. The scalable platform will be offered with an array of mounting accessories that are said to offer its users a degree of mounting flexibility not available on earlier transmitter offerings.

The 3051C SuperModule features a 316L stainless steel housing that withstands harsh field environments and provides 0.04% accuracy, 200:1 turndown, and 100 msec response time. It also features what is said to be the industry’s first 10-yr-stability guarantee under process conditions.

The instrument’s scalable intelligence and advanced diagnostic and control capabilities give complete access to the operations of Emerson’s PlantWeb architecture and features FOUNDATION Fieldbus, HART, 4-20mA, and Profibus communication protocols as ‘plug and play’ options.
