Cyber-physical systems serve as the foundation and the invention base of the modern society making them critical to both government and business. Legacy cyber-physical systems such as the power grid and pipelines provide the energy, gas, and liquid transportation system while supercomputers, cloud technology and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) serve as today’s decision to implement and tomorrow’s invention. Cybersecurity of these systems is critical. A compromise can result in loss of productivity and intellectual property, extortion and even death.
