Parker Instrumentation ’s range of ball valves, check valves, and filters now have ECE R110 approval. The products join the company’s already-R110-approved line of tube fittings to provide a complete package of appoved components for fuel filling and routing.
The approval is to Amendment 1 of ECE R110, introduced last year, which added compulsory tests to ensure integrity in the presence of ozone and dry heat. The manufacturer has added high-performance elastomeric seals into the valves to meet the new requirement. Approval extends to the entire line of fluid flow components to provide a wider choice to builders and developers of CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles.
Component range meets the functional requirements of vehicle builders for CNG tank filling and onward routing. Check valves ensure gas can flow only in one direction. Ball valves provide fast-acting isolation to seal a tank after filling. Filters, available in inline or “T” configurations, remove particulate from the gas at the entry to or exit from the tank.
