Beckhoff “taught” these I/O modules to control stepper motors. |
Beckhoff I/O modules are said to provide “drive-like” stepper motor control, lower I/O costs to traditional drives, reduce wiring, and open up new application possibilities. Beckhoff KL2531 and KL2541 stepper motor terminals integrate a compact motion controller for small stepper motors up to 200 W, eliminating need for remote amplifiers.
The KL2531 and KL2541 Bus Terminals cover both ends of the performance spectrum. KL2531 is 12-mm wide for 24 Vdc, with peak current of 1.5 A per phase. KL2541 is 24-mm wide, handles up to up to 50 Vdc, with peak current of 5 A.
Carlo Gavazzi inductive proximity sensors have extended their ranges and capabilities. |
Carlo Gavazzi Inc . extends range of inductive proximity sensors : Sensing ranges for M12 are 4 mm flush mount and 8 mm non-flush mount. Sensing ranges for M18 are 8 mm flush mount and 14 mm non-flush mount. Sensing ranges for M30 are 15 mm flush mount and 22 mm non-flush mount.
Checking quality and making design modifications can happen more quickly with an Immersion MicroScribe MS portable measuring system. |
The sensors have 10-40 Vdc supply range, and are available in 2- and 3-wire versions. Transistor type outputs are available in NPN and PNP versions. Housings are nickel-plated brass. Choose from cable or M12 quick-disconnect plug; UL, CSA, and CE approvals are granted. List prices start at $65. Immersion MicroScribe MX portable measurement systems target the manufactured parts inspection and high-accuracy reverse engineering markets, providing an affordable, paperless way to verify design conformity. It is said to be easier to use than larger articulated arm systems. The products have accuracies of 0.004- and 0.005-in. and can be used with many common CAD/CAM software applications.
