Milwaukee, WI—Rockwell Automation Inc. reports that its board of directors has elected Keith Nosbusch to become board chairman, succeeding Don Davis, who will retire after 42 years with the company.
Milwaukee, WI— Rockwell Automation Inc. reports that its board of directors has elected Keith Nosbusch to become board chairman after the company’s annual shareowners meeting on Feb. 2, 2005. Nosbusch succeeds Don Davis, who will retire after a 42-year career with the company.
‘Since Keith became CEO in February, he has demonstrated that he is exceptionally well qualified to lead our company and is intensely dedicated to helping our customers succeed,’ says Davis. ‘He also heads a management team as good as there is. With Keith at the helm, I am confident that Rockwell Automation will deliver significant value for our shareholders, customers, and employees in the years ahead.’

Nosbusch began his career as an application engineer in 1974, when he joined Allen-Bradley, which was acquired by Rockwell in 1985. He was promoted to increasingly responsible positions, leading to his appointment as president of Rockwell Automation Control Systems in November 1998, and then as president and CEO this past February. Nosbusch holds bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In addition to Rockwell Automation, Nosbusch serves as a director of the Manitowoc Company Inc. and on the board of numerous industry and civic organizations.
Davis joined Allen-Bradley in 1963 as an engineering sales trainee. He moved up through the sales and marketing ranks, and was named president of Allen-Bradley in 1989, president of Rockwell International in 1996, CEO in 1997, and chairman in 1998. Davis sits on numerous educational, civic and corporate boards, and has received dozens of awards of distinction.
