Sensoray’s model 826 multifunction analog/digital I/O system is designed for industrial measurement and control, machine control, building control, motor control, and remote data acquisition applications. Features include 48 digital I/Os with edge detection, sixteen 16-bit analog inputs, and eight 16-bit analog outputs. The model 826 also includes six 32-bit counter channels, a watchdog timer with fail-safe controller, and a signal router. Low-profile headers and flat cables are used to connect the model 826’s I/O signals to external circuitry, enabling the board to fit easily into high-density systems. The board’s mounting bracket has an integral cable clamp to keep wiring organized and secure. A wide variety of cables and cable breakout solutions is available to connect the board to field wiring. Each model 826 counter channel can independently perform such commonly used functions as pulse or pulse width modulation (PWM) generator, frequency counter, or pulse width or period measurement. All counters support quadrature clock decoding, allowing them to serve as up to a 6-axis incremental encoder interface. The model 826’s flexible architecture supports a wide range of functionality including hardware-triggered "one-shot" operation and hardware-timed program delays.
