Power Sources Unlimited’s TEQ 300WIR series of 300 W ruggedized DC-DC converters with 4:1 input voltage ranges and EN 50155 approval for railway applications to the Traco Power portfolio. The TEQ 300WIR is designed to be shock- and vibration-resistant and is available in single output voltages of 12, 24, 28, and 48 Vdc. The chassis mount is designed for industrial applications where PCB mounting is not possible. It has an efficiency of up to 92% and the overall heat sink construction allows an operating temperature from -40 to 55 C with natural convection cooling without power derating and up to 80 C with power derating. Standard features include output voltage trimming, 3000 Vdc input/output (I/O) isolation, power sharing (up to 3 units in parallel), soft start, remote on/off and under voltage lockout. The ultra-wide input voltage range, constant current output characteristic and reverse input voltage protection make these converters an ideal solution for battery operated systems.
