Danfoss’ Vacon 20 ac drive is designed for packaging machine applications and is available in all common voltages (110 to 600 V) and has a power range up to 18.5kW/25 HP. The Vacon 20 is ideal for cutting cycle times has a built-in RS-485 interface, which is designed to offer a serial control interface for the drive. With optional modules, the Vacon 20 can be connected to communication systems including CANOpen, Fieldbus, DeviceNet, and Profibus DP. Features such as access terminals, built-in DIN rail mounting and the MCA parameter-copying tool, which can clone settings without main power in the drive and reduce start-up time. In addition, the parameter list can be freely modified and application specific parameter sets and default settings can be created. Other features include a pulse train input, input/output (I/O) option support, built-in programmable logic controller (PLC) functionality, and DIN-rail mounting.
