Wago’s ultra-compact 750-880 Ethernet 2.0 Programmable Fieldbus Controller expedites programming/upgrades and advances data management via an integrated SD port. Nearly 60% smaller than other PLCs, the 750-880 also supports control applications with unmatched flexibility and high-speed processing. Via the SD card, the 750-880 provides programming, Back-Up, and Restore functions along with the unique ability to insert/remove the SD card during operation. Users can easily back-up controllers or expedite large-scale programming by transferring device parameters, boot files, or other file types between controllers. Back-Up and Restore eliminates users having to travel to a plant for programming/updates; they can simply issue these via new SD card. Critical updates can also be e-mailed for faster implementation. The 750-880 employs 1MB of both data and program memory while accommodating up to 8GB of additional memory via the SD card. Machine/process data or programming can be uploaded or downloaded to an SD card for controller-to-controller exchange. Data storage is managed by a robust 2MB Fast File System, while Web-based management provides access to machine health and configurations. E-mail capabilities and FTP technologies simplify data transfer between production and manufacturing enterprise systems.

Blending IT-style network flexibility with PLC functionality, the 750-880’s integrated dual-port Ethernet switch eliminates switches and hubs. Unlike other SD-capable controllers, the fieldbus-independent 750-880 supports EtherNet I/P and MODBUS TCP for seamless system integration. Complementing 750-880’s technological advancements is the ability to process 1,000 instructions within 235 microseconds. The multitasking 750-880 relies on a robust, industry-proven TCP/IP stack and an IEC61131-3 compatible environment.  Leveraging a footprint that’s up to five times smaller than that of other controllers, the 750-880 streamlines controls, permits cost-effective upgrades, and simplifies networking to boost the bottom line.
