EC: TRAPtest VKP 40 plus Ex

The TRAPtest VKP 40 plus Ex is unique because it has a touchscreen providing a color graph of real time steam trap operation allowing detailed interpretation by the tester.

The data collector uses a special Gestra software program. The data collector and the communication box (Com Box) are Bluetooth-enabled devices and allow for easy data exchange between them. The data collector can be connected to a PC via docking station.
The supplied Gestra software program TRAPtest VKP 40 allows one to evaluate the test results directly on a PC and, among other things, to create repair jobs and view and print out financial analyses.
The advantage of the Bluetooth is that the measuring tip is not directly connected to the data logger. The test is started when the measuring tip is pressed against the steam trap. The test duration is time controlled which is variable by the tester.
A spring provides a constant contact pressure at the measuring tip, which is independent of the actual pressure applied by the tester, ensuring correct readings and, consequently, objective test results. The large backlit touchscreen display can be used even in poor visibility conditions.
The battery of the data logger is designed for more than a complete working shift or 8 hours continuous measuring. The data logger memory is capable to save 750 test results. The data base is optimized for more than 20,000 steam traps.
