Montvale, NJ – ei3 Corp . signed an agreement December 17 to deliver real-time energy monitoring services to selected hotels owned/or managed by Hilton Hotels Corp. According to ei3, its turnkey service, EnergyWatch, will help to improve energy efficiency, reduce consumption and costs for Hilton. The service provides a link between engineering and financial planning through comprehensive alarming, trending and reporting capabilities to make energy practices a function of strategy.

”The scale of this agreement demonstrates the value and quality of our energy monitoring services,” said Brett Smith, ceo of ei3. ”Our energy monitoring services empower our clients to make better business decisions by providing tools that compare performance versus budget, outline best practices for energy conservation, and offer critical trending information.”

ei3’s EnergyWatch system will build on the work performed by Ernst & Young’s Energy Advisory Services who assisted Hilton in the development and implementation of a national energy management program. Through the use of energy audits and effective contract negotiations, Ernst & Young was able to help Hilton realize significant energy cost reductions at Hilton owned/or managed hotels throughout the United States. The system will monitor the energy consumption of selected hotels to verify and trend the savings realized through the implementation of energy conservation measures identified in the audits.

The system is a hosted energy monitoring and reporting solution that eliminates capital investment in equipment and personnel. Its reporting features, trend charts, alarming functions, utility bill verification services, EnergyStar data, and shadow metering for slow/fast meter detection transcend traditional energy monitoring functions to offer a competitive advantage.
