Installed flowmeter sensors can have their capabilities improved with the addition of more sophisticated transmitters. Hoffer has released a new indicator/totalizer designed to operate with turbine and other frequency producing sensors.

The new HRT1 is offered as an upgrade to the company’s HIT-2A rate indicator/totalizer which incorporates HART communications. The HRT1 reportedly enables customers to communicate to a processor via software or HART handheld communicator to adjust settings in the unit and check diagnostics.

HRT1 capabilities include rate, total, and grand total display. Output options include two alarm outputs configurable for rate and total, 20-point linearization, scaled pulse output, 4-20mA loop powered analog output, and the latest HART Version 7.
