PR Electronics’ 7501 explosion- and flame-proof temperature transmitter features a local operator interface (LOI) designed for HART programming, review, and diagnostics of process values in hazardous conditions. It has a 10 mm explosion-proof window that allows the user to access the LOI in dangerous conditions without opening the housing. The user can also perform advanced HART programming from the front. The 60 mm high-definition display provides a clear indication of the process magnitude and is supported by a radial bar graph. The transmitter delivers HART 7 functionality with HART 5 compatibility and can be configured to measure 2-, 3-, and 4-wire RTDs. It also has 13 different thermocouple types as well as bipolar mV and resistance signals and an analog output. The transmitter has three mounting options: on the temperature sensor, on a pipe, or on a bulkhead. The device has scrolling help texts and three optical buttons for configuration.
