IDS Scheer announces new versions of ARIS Process Performance Manager 4.1 and ARIS Performance Dashboard 4.1 using Adobe Flex2 to display performance indicators for senior management, as well as an enhanced reporting engine (WYSIWYG) and an automated analysis process for identifying optimization potential (Advanced Analysis, Easy Mining).IDS Scheer users can now implement process controlling and manage service-level agreements (SLA) more efficiently with greater acceptance across an organization—especially from senior management at the C-level.According to an April article, Total 2007 BI/PM Spending Will Hit $23.8B , by John Hagerty of Boston-based AMR Research , “We estimate the total expenditures of BI/PM [business intelligence/performance management]—including software, integration, consulting, hardware, and internal head count—will hit $23.8B in 2007, growing 3.6 percent from the prior year. The largest advance will be in analytic applications where spending will expand by nearly 9 percent. BI tools and dashboards/scorecards continue to grow faster than the rate for the sector as a whole.”The new ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM) 4.1 offers organizations a comprehensive view of the performance of business processes by using objective indicators that work in tandem with a graphic representation of the actual process structure. This functionality combines traditional performance indicator controlling with process management.The newly developed WYSIWYG Reporting Component and integrated ad hoc reporting feature add increased possibilities for publishing performance indicators within an organization. In addition, ARIS Performance Dashboard 4.1, developed on the framework of Adobe Flex2, provides user-friendly monitoring results that meet key management requirements. The combination of process maps with the representation of associated performance indicators provides an intuitive overview of the company’s current performance situation. Offering a unique interactive GUI, the new product even gives the occasional user the capability to navigate from an aggregated overview to the causes of target deviations, thereby offering detailed knowledge of the situation. The user can make interactive changes to the structure of the dashboard, directly via the user interface, and adjust the display type and layout in a matter of minutes. External information, such as maps can easily be combined with the data and integrated into the corporate portal.The Advanced Analysis module uses automated analysis processes to support process managers in an accelerated search for significant examples and procedures with high optimization potential.
