Watlow’s Fluent is an in-line heater ideal designed for use in fluid heating applications including medical, analytical, food service equipment and semiconductors. Fluent can replace an immersion-type heater or a heater wrapped around a tube as part of a thermal system. It is designed as an integrated solution that replaces multiple components in a system resulting in a reduction of overall system cost and complexity. Fluent is a high-watt density, low mass heater that enables on-demand heating with a fast response for higher system performance. The construction includes an internal baffle to promote turbulent flow, a layered heater circuit, an axial lead exit and an internal thermocouple. Fluent also makes use of its entire surface to produce heat, which is designed to optimize heat transfer and temperature uniformity. Fluent is offered in sizes ranging from 250 to 4,000 W.
