OnyxWorks PC-based graphical workstation from Notifier, part of Honeywell’s Life Safety Group, integrates fire alarm, security, card access, CCTV, and other information into a single point of control for life safety and security systems.

New and upgraded flat-panel monitors from Advantech Corp . include a brighter, longer-lasting unit, the FPM-2150GA, and a resistive touchscreen model, FPM-2150-R. These rugged industrial flat-panel monitors comply with NEMA 4/IP65 standard, with metal enclosures that allow them to be panel-mounted, rack-mounted, and VESA-mount compatible. Both can withstand ambient temperatures to 50 °C and feature brightness of 350 cd/m2 (up from 250 cd/m2 in previous models) and a backlight lifetime of 50,000 hrs (up from 30,000 hours). Form factor remains the same making direct replacement easy.

Jet PDA for mobile data capture from Datalogic combines mobility, reliability, and ergonomics into one tool.

OnyxWorks PC-based graphical workstation from Notifier , part of Honeywell’s Life Safety Group, integrates fire alarm, security, card access, CCTV, and other information into a single point of control for life safety and security systems located throughout a building, region, or local or wide-area network. Workstation monitors and displays floor plans for fire and other event reporting and history. Potential emergency situations are immediately displayed on screen as priority events, allowing them to quickly identified and investigated. A user-friendly interface facilitates set-up and operator use. Existing facility plans can be imported easily.

Jet PDA for mobile data capture from Datalogic combines mobility, reliability, and ergonomics into a single tool and extends the power of enterprise computing to all areas of supply-chain management. Based on Microsoft Windows CE 4.2 .Net operating system, the device uses an Intel X-Scale microprocessor at 400 MHz and can read linear codes, 2-D codes, images, and RFID HG-ISO tags.

It includes fully integrated wireless connectivity that complies with major technologies, is equipped with Li-Ion batteries, and can be used at temperatures from–10 °C to 50 °C. Among the unit’s features are a 1/4 VGA 64K color, backlit screen; touchscreen function for stylus pen data entry, and 27-key mobile-phone-like keyboard.
