Yarmouth, ME – Kepware Technologies recently announced the release of Siemens S7-200 Ethernet driver. The new device driver works in conjunction with Kepware’s KEP-ServerEX OPC server to provide data exchange between OPC Clients and Siemens S7-200 PLCs using TCP/IP Ethernet protocol.
S7-200 Ethernet support has been implemented as an enhancement to the current driver support for the Siemens S7-300 & S7-400 PLCs. The S7-200 Ethernet driver communicates directly to the S7-200 series PLC using a standard PC network interface card. No additional software packages or libraries are required. The S7-200 PLC must be equipped with the new CP-243 communications module from Siemens.
