Linear inductive sensors are available in five ranges, 14 mm to 120 mm

Pepperl+Fuchs' PMI40-F90-U-V15 and PMI40-F90-I-V15 linear inductive sensors are designed for vertical valve measurements and delivers accurate linear position regardless of sensing range.

Pepperl+Fuchs’ PMI40-F90-U-V15 and PMI40-F90-I-V15 linear inductive sensors offer a 40 mm distance measurement that is ideal for vertical valve measurements. With these models, the PMI linear inductive sensors are now available with linear ranges of 14 mm, 40 mm, 80 mm, 104 mm and 120 mm to satisfy a wide range of sensing requirements.

The optimal distance from PMI40 to the standard sensor target (BT-F90-W) is 2 mm, but an available sensing range of 0.5 to 3 mm delivers accurate linear position regardless of the sensing range. The 40 mm linear distance delivers 33 um resolution. The shorter housing of the PMI40 enables it to be applied where models with longer housings are unsuitable.
