Recent products include a smart camera for under $2,000, a combination color meter, an embeddable displacement sensor, and additional modules for a protection and monitoring system.

Legend 510 SmartImage Camera integrates ring lights, Ethernet-compatibility, and 640 x 480 pixel resolution.

DVT Corporation offers the Legend 510 SmartImage Camera, a fully functioning CMOS smart camera system for $1,995, at what it calls the most competitive price on the market, in an Oct. 6 announcement. Included are free software licenses and upgrades; free classroom, online and CD-based training; and free global online support. It has the full inspection power of the Legend series without reader capabilities and operates with DVT’s Microsoft Windows-based Framework software.

X1-1 Optometer price is $796, without detector.

Gigahertz-Optik’s new hand-held X1-1 Optometer combines luminous color measurement with photometer/radiometer capabilities in one package for use with a variety of single, multi-sensor and spherebased detector heads. It has a high-contrast 4-line LCD with detector ID enabling simultaneous operation and display of up to four detector inputs for measurement of color chromaticity coordinates x,y and u’,v’, illuminance/luminance, correlated color temperature, UV-Vis-NIR irradiance/radiance and luminous/radiant power.

Lion Precision’s ECA110 embeddable displacement sensor provides high-precision, high-resolution analog position feedback. The sensor consists of a Lion Precision inductive probe and a PC board driver with edgeboard connector for inclusion in the OEM’s control/measurement system. Each system is factory calibrated to specifications using discrete components. Ranges available from 0.02 to 0.60 in. It works with ferromagnetic and nonferromagnetic materials and in hostile environments.

Rockwell Automation is expanding its Entek XM Series distributed protection and monitoring product line. The addition of modules for EtherNet/IP communication, low-speed vibration and spike energy measurements brings distributed protection and monitoring tools to a wider array of specialized applications, such as hydro turbines, paper rolls, small motors and other machines equipped with rolling element bearings.
