Unitronics’ Vision 570 has extensive memory capacity and a color touchscreen.

A color touchscreen, full PLC functionality, on-board I/O options, and built-in recipe capability are now available in the Vision570, an all-in-one compact controller from Unitronics . The unit provides a rugged 5.7″ QVGA, 256-color TFT touchscreen and extensive memory capacity. Its fast scanning ability-1KB of a typical application in 0.9With 2 MB of application memory, 1 MB of font memory and 6 MB for image storage, the controller can store more than 1,000 displays and hundreds of highly detailed color images for use in a single application. Future releases will include support for SD card memory storage.

Communication options include TCP/IP Ethernet, cellular, and industrial protocols such as Modbus and CANopen. In addition, the Vision570 can be “taught” to communicate over almost any device-based protocol. According to the company, the Vision570 reduces system costs by cutting programming time, minimizing hardware requirements, saving cabinet space, and exempting the user from setting up panel-to-PLC communication.

Like other members of the Vision series, Vision570 supports digital, high-speed, and analog I/O connections, as well as direct temperature measurement inputs. Free VisiLogic software provides one environment for hardware configuration, modular Ladder application development, and HMI design, including a rich color library of industrial images.
