EUS34-096 fixed conversion ratio isolated converter from C&D Technologies features 2,250 V input-to-output isolation and up to 300 W output.

Mansfield, MA —EUS34-096 fixed 5:1 conversion ratio isolated dc/dc converter from C&D Technologies is designed to power multiple downstream, non-isolated point-of-load converters in intermediate bus architecture (IBA) applications found in computer and telecommunications equipment. Device incorporates input-to-output isolation of up to 2,250 V dc, reportedly to achieve cost and space savings through the use of non-isolated POL converters instead of larger, more expensive isolated versions.

Module has an industry standard eighth-brick footprint and an input voltage range of 38 to 55 V dc. It delivers a maximum of 300 W at 48 V dc input and a minimum 240-W output at 38 V dc input at 55 °C and 200 lfm airflow. RoHS-compliant bus converter is 96% efficient.

EUS34-096 features a positive or negative-triggered primary side remote enable capability, and over-current and over-temperature protection with automatic restart. It is suitable for parallel operation to satisfy the requirements of higher power applications. Dimensions are 58.4 x 36.8 x 12.2 m; operating temperature range is -40 to 85 °C. Module meets the UL94V-0 flammability specification requirements and reports a MTBF of 1.3 million hours.
