System integrators honored at annual event

The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference honored several integrators and companies while also expanding the group's best practices for the integrator industry.

Almost 600 system integration industry professionals from 16 different countries attended the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference in San Francisco, April 24-27. A two-day Best Practices Training workshop was held immediately preceding the Conference for those interested in learning more about the application of the principles behind CSIA’s Best Practices and Benchmarking manual, which helps lay the groundwork for CSIA’s signature certification program.

During the annual Awards Dinner at the Executive Conference, CSIA recognized five outstanding organizations and individuals for their contributions to the system integration industry.

A&E Engineering, Greer, S.C., was named 2018 Integrator Company Member of the Year.

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Vernon Hills, Ill., was recognized as 2018 Partner Company Member of the Year.

The 2018 Rising Star award was presented to John Binion, PE, Hargrove Controls + Automation, Mobile, Ala.

The Social Responsibility Award was presented to MR Systems, Norcross, Ga., United States.

Luigi De Bernardini, Autoware, S.R.L., Vicenza, VI, Italy, received the 2018 Charlie Bergman Award. The Charlie Bergman "Remember Me" Award, named in honor of CSIA founder and visionary, Charlie Bergman, remains the highest distinction for CSIA members. This award recognizes a member for upholding the principles of sharing, leadership and promoting the profession.

CSIA’s 2019 Executive Conference will be held April 30-May 3 in Asheville, N.C.
