Johnson Controls’ low ambient variable refrigerant flow (VRF) cooling and heating systems provide energy efficiency with individualized comfort to commercial and light commercial buildings in cooler climates. VRF heat pump systems feature inverter compressor technology with heating function down to -13°F ambient air temperature due to the scroll compressor and liquid injection technology. The units offer heating up to 59°F and a cooling range of 14° to 118°F ambient air temperature. The low ambient VRF outdoor units are well suited for schools, multi-family houses, offices, retail, and health care facilities. Heat recovery and heat pump systems have a vertical lift up to 295 ft for systems of any size.
