Mission Viejo, CA — Vigilistics , a developer of real-time operations analysis software for the dairy and food processing industries, is expanding its headquarters facility. The additional space is intended to accommodate the company’s recent growth rate of approximately 30% a quarter.

Vigilistics will use the new facility to support mission-critical operations in fluid dairy, cheese, powdered milk, soup, and other food applications. Its software is intended to reduce product loss, improve energy use, and provide auditable records for Bioterrorism Act and FDA compliance. The product tracks production in auditable form, correlates millions of data values to equipment use and production flow models, and applies intelligent analysis to guide plant management.

Food processors, and the dairy industry in particular, need real-time operations analysis, according to Craig Nelson, Vigilistics’ founder. “Most losses are avoidable,” he said, “and they are often due to events that can only be pinned down using tracking and tracing software.” Savings from reduced milk loss in a dairy plant, coupled with a way to meet compliance needs, make such software a wise investment, Nelson added.
