Alarming platform uses OPC connectivity to interface with third-party devices.
Specter Instruments has selected Kepware Technologies as its primary provider of connectivity to devices in the automation marketplace. Specter will work with Kepware to test and validate KEPServerEX with its WIN-911 remote alarming solution.
Specter Instruments, headquartered in Austin TX, supplies WIN-911 to both end user and OEM applications. The company says that connectivity to third party devices is key to the success of any alarming solution, and Kepware’s KEPServerEX, with its support of OPC, will provide connectivity to thousands of devices through a library of over 140 protocols and will be validated with WIN-911 on an ongoing basis.
Frank Grygier VP of sales for Specter Instruments says, “Offering proven connectivity between our products is the best way for Specter Instruments to deliver connectivity to the broadest range of devices possible. Kepware’s reputation for quality and support in the market is exceptional.”
