Wonderware , a Invensys Systems Inc. subsidiary, and Pavilion Technologies recently announced ‘Powered by SAP NetWeaver’ certification status.
For Wonderware, the status was attained through successful certification of two new plant-to-business integration solutions. The first is Wonderware’s Business Package for Process Performance Analysis 60.1 integrated with the SAP NetWeaver Portal. The second is the combination of SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver XI)-based Content Package for Order Processing 30.1 integrated with SAP ECC 5.0 and Wonderware Enterprise Integrator 2.0. This recognition also is part of the SAP certification program for ISA-95-based manufacturing interoperability.
The new Invensys integration solution for process performance analysis links plant-floor information with the SAP manufacturing-intelligence dashboards of the mySAP ERP solution, delivering critical intelligence via alerts, reports and key performance indicators for real-time decision-making. The integrated solution works with customers’ existing plant automation and system investments by leveraging Invensys’ open integration software architecture, ArchestrA, along with Wonderware’s plant historian, analysis client tools and Microsoft SQL Server.
Pavilion Technologies’ Pavilion8T platform, now NetWeaver certified, uses an embedded predictive modeling engine to define, maintain, and execute performance metrics that provide accurate and future insight into key operational processes. The solution allows business managers, plant management and process engineers to tie metrics to action, putting the best decisions into effect quickly to maximize business opportunity.
Pavilion8 platform is built on a software infrastructure leveraging a Java-based (J2EE) service-oriented architecture and browser-based interaction. Pavilion8 version 1.0 is integrated with the SAP NetWeaver Application Server Release 6.40 providing access to role-based views via SAP NetWeaver Portal Release 6.0.
