Acromag Inc . was recently accepted as an associate member of the Control and Information System Integrators Association (CSIA). Acromag manufactures signal conditioners and fieldbus I/O solutions for Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, HART, and LonWorks.

Don Lupo, Acromag’s sales and marketing director, says he’s enthusiastic about working more closely with the system integrator community by actively participating in CSIA’s activities. “For the past several years, Acromag has focused on developing better solutions for system integrators by designing new I/O products with higher channel density for more value in less pace, and full compatibility in multi-vendor systems,” he adds.

Many of Acromag’s BusWorks distributed I/O solutions are certified for interoperability to help system integrators develop multi-vendor systems. The company’s Ethernet I/O modules have successfully passed EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP conformance tests. The EtherNet/IP test was performed by an ODVA-authorized test service provider, while the Modbus/TCP test was performed at the University of Michigan’s test lab, in accordance with a program administered by Modbus-IDA. The I/O modules demonstrated compliance with both internationally accepted specifications. Acromag adds that it’s one of the first I/O vendors to receive an official Ethernet/IP Declaration of Conformity from ODVA.
