Detect moving objects

Florence, Ky. -The Dynamic Optical Window detects and reacts to moving objects as small 0.07-in. dia. when they break the infrared ‘pane.’ The device uses a continuos row of optical sensors to eliminate blind areas and is said to be ideal for counting small mechanically ejected parts or counting air-conveyed or dropped objects. When used to monitor continuous feeds, the window can alert an operator or ‘freeze’ the process if the feed is broken or an anomaly appears on the feed material. Sensitivity is adjustable, allowing the user to preset minimum target size for triggering. Signal duration is adjustable across a 10-300 msec range to suit controller speed, and establish cutoffs for detection of asymmetrical parts. Signal response is 200
