TimeSys said that its LinuxLink Web-based Linux development service exploits three discontinuities: it is open source , it exploits the Web as a primary debugging channel, and it aids in automation and innovation that can cut six to eight weeks off development time. Quickfilter Technologies’ digital filtering technology is claimed to make it possible to replace up to 40 components in a digital filter with one device that can be programmed without writing any code.
MicroSys has released the specification for StackableUSB, which allows stacking up to eight I/O boards onto an SBC without a hub using the USB 2.0 interface. MicroSys is working to get more manufacturers to adopt the specification.
