Dolch unveils harsh environment computer for the oil and gas industry
Fremont, Calif. - Dolch, manufacturer of rugged industrial portable computers, will feature its new operator interface workstations for harsh environments at this year's Global Petroleum Show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada June 11-13.
Fremont, Calif. - Dolch , manufacturer of rugged industrial portable computers, will feature its new operator interface workstations for harsh environments at this year's Global Petroleum Show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada June 11-13.
SafeTTouch displays and workstations are designed to Class I, Division 1 standards. Products feature EnhancedInfrared touch displays, a technology designed for safety in harsh and hazardous areas. These touch screens use a matrix of invisible light beams to detect operator input and maintain their calibration without drifting. It is operationally immune to cuts or wear of the touch surface, and the touch screen is covered by a five-year warranty.
"Today, we bring a new alternative to the oil and gas industry," said Jim Ciardella, president of Dolch. "With SafeTTouch EX, you get a rugged flat-panel touch screen in an explosion-proof enclosure, without the need for a costly air purge system."
