Incuity software is a real-time enterprise decision support system from DataWorks designed for businesses that rely on automated production equipment. It integrates with existing control systems, data historians,businesssystems, and databases—from the same ordifferentvendors—to allow visualization of production and business data. The package extends HMI concepts to the business beyond manufacturing by incorporating animated real-time graphics, alarms, historical data, flexible graphing, order information, batch data, downtime data, and quality data.

Incuity requires no installation of client-side software; it can be used remotely over the Inter-net or locally. Integrated functions include Virtual Plant Database that extends plant historians and databases to include data from many data stores. Execution Engine brings custom logic into one place using any .Net language. Business connectors allow a user to fetch from and write to business systems (such as SAP, PeopleSoft, and Oracle) without being an expert in those systems. Because of Incuity’s ability to write to production equipment and other software systems, managed security is part of the software package to ensure security across all data sources. Integrated Namespace permits a user to set order and structure across disparate existing systems so that information can be found and analyzed in context.

Views of production and business data can be configured for a spectrum of users, from executive management to plant operators. Incuity publishes graphical reports for any area to improve compliance reporting and collaborative decision-making. It is said to make users instantly aware of problems and deviations and provide tools to explore, analyze, and respond from anywhere with Internet access.
