Las Vegas, NV —Rosemount Analytical Model 3200HP flowing reference pH sensor with pHaser reference technology from Emerson Process Management is intended for determining pH in condensate, boiler feedwater, and boiler water applications typical in steam electric power plants. The liquid measurement technology, a key component of Emerson’s PlantWeb digital plant architecture, reportedly eliminates junction potential by controlling the flow of reference electrolyte through laser-drilled capillary junctions.

This new device was introduced at Power-Gen 2005 in Las Vegas earlier this month. Sensor assembly consists of a reference electrolyte reservoir, a low-flow cell, a combination pH sensor with Variopol connector, and an integral solution ground to protect against electrostatic noise pickup. A stainless steel thermowell is included for fast temperature response and measurement stability. Device is said to simplify calibration and maintenance processes and have a smaller footprint to reduce space requirements in a sampling panel.
