lighting accounts for 38% of U.S. electricity consumption—the single largest contributor to U.S. carbon emissions. Lighting is also one of the few electrical loads that, according to Adura, provides “instantaneous, pure subtractive demand reduction to overtaxed electrical grids.”
Adura Technologies was founded in 2004 via research grants provided by the California Energy Commission's Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) grant program. Adura is currently serving customers in the commercial, industrial, and institutional building sectors.
