New 900 MHz wireless radio penetrates walls, foliage
ProSoft Technology’s new RadioLinx 900 MHz Industrial Frequency Hopping Serial and Ethernet radios (RLX-IFH9S and RLX-IFH9E, respectively) are designed to perform in demanding, hazardous, indoor or outdoor applications. For indoor applications, the radios’ powerful signals are can penetrate walls, floors, and ceilings more effectively than a 2.4 or 5 GHz band radio.

National Instruments announces the NI 1722 and NI 1742 Smart Cameras to provide engineers and scientists with high-performance systems at a low cost. The NI Smart Cameras are embedded devices that combine an industrial controller with an image sensor and integrate with NI vision software to offer image processing directly on the cameras, making them ideal for applications such as locating parts, inspecting packaging, verifying assembly and reading 1D and 2D codes. The new cameras are shipped with National Instruments Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (AI), an interactive software environment for configuring, benchmarking and deploying machine vision applications without programming.

Cost- and performance-conscious facility operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will appreciate new, full-featured, easy-to-use ac drives from GE Consumer & Industrial: the AF-60 LP Micro Drive for small motor controls, AF-600 FP Fan & Pump Drive for HVAC and pump applications, and AF-650 GP General Purpose Drive for control of mixers and material handling applications. The compact drives have many built-in features for easy setup and installation and meet global standards.
