Multi-network gateway in stainless steel

By Control Engineering Staff December 1, 2005
The stainless steel AS-i 3.0 CANopen-Gateway has one power supply for two AS-i net-works.

Bihl+Wiedemann GmbH’s AS-I-3.0 CANopen-Gateway has a new, stainless-steel master-variant: 1 Gateway, 1 power supply for 2 AS-I networks. This variant—also disposable for the AS-i 3.0 Gateways to Profibus, DeviceNet and Ethernet—saves one power supply for all applications with two AS-i networks. The double master and one, 30 V power-supply feed two AS-i networks.
Investment costs and installation effort can be reduced plus there is more space in the service cabinet. Furthermore the power supply and the AS-i network can be spatially separated.

Analysis and diagnosis functions largely exceed the AS-i standard. Additionally, it provides detection of: duplicate addresses, earth-faults, and noise.
