Still the place to see instrumentation and industrial networking equipment.
The ISA Expo ’08 still represents the largest-scale show for process instrumentation and associated equipment. While many integrated automation suppliers have scaled back their exhibits, it’s arguably the best U.S. venue for process manufacturers.
It’s true the expo isn’t what it used to be. If you go with the hopes of seeingheir space. A number of large independent instrumentation suppliers and divisions have gained visibility as a result. Bottom line, this is probably the best show for instrumentation, wireless equipment, industrial networking equipment, and a whole lot of other important infrastructure for process plants.
So circle Oct. 14-16 on your calendar, and book your reservations in Houston. Go online to register and for more detailed information. Show promoters do a good job of providing shuttle bus transport to and from the convention center since the hotels aren’t the most conveniently located. The cab ride downtown from the airport is pricey, and don’t assume that you can get a driver that takes credit cards.
Come see your Control Engineering friends in booth 1906. I’m sure I’ll be there.
