Power resistors for harsh environments

CVW (wirewound) and CVF (film) Series vertical-mount power resistors from TT electronics’ IRC Wire and Film Technologies Div. provide an extended resistance range for high volume and high temperature applications. Vertical mount configuration gives the device a minimal footprint, making it well suited for use where PC board space is at a premium.

With the extended resistance range and high temperature rating, says the company, the resistors can be specified for operation in harsh environments. Industrial applications include power electronics circuits, voltage dividers, power supplies and motor controllers. CVW Series wirewound resistors feature a resistance range from 0.1 to 910; the CVF Series film resistors have a resistance range of 28 to 200K. Operating temperature range is -55 to 275 °C. Pricing is $.085-0.17 each, depending on R-values, in quantities of 10K pieces. www.irctt.com
