Northbrook, Ill.— Yaskawa Electric America has introduced factory assembly precision gearmotors to its Sigma AC Servo System product line. According to the company, Sigma Servo Gearmotors provide the highest torque with the shortest overall length, and low backlash for high-performance servo application. They also eliminate the need for separate sizing, procuring, and assembling gearing and servomotors. This product line includes a choice of 25 combinations (five frame sizes and five standard gear ratios) that provides application flexibility in an optimum, cost-effective package. The gearmotors provide stable operation for higher inertia loads by reducing the effective inertia of the load as reflected to the motor shaft, the company says. Yaskawa Electric America Inc.
