RFID: Integrated tower of technology


Grapevine, TX —RFID PathMinder, an integrated tower of radio frequency identification technologies is the result of collaboration between Siemens Energy & Automation and URS / EG&G . Displayed and demonstrated at the RFID World meeting here last month, product attributes include an integrated control architecture.

The integrated control architecture of the RFID PathMinder includes system engineering, data management, information sharing via wireless networking, and run-time diagnostics, as well as control, information processing, trigger event management, application tailoring, and power conditioning, all built in.

Product advantages include flexibility in design to fit application needs. Applications might include manufacturing, warehousing, logistics services for better workflow, more accurate inventory, and contractual compliance.
