Robotics: Servomotor has high power to volume
MiniMotor 2057 S 024 B
Featuring high power-to-volume ratio and electronic commutation suit the brushless DC-Servomotor series 2057xxx B from Swiss motor manufacturer Minimotor SA for many applications, including medical devices, factory automation, robotics, aerospace, and aviation. Motors incorporate high-energy rare earth magnets that give the motors a very responsive mechanical time constant of only 8 ms. A Faulhaber skew winding in combination with the laminated stator provides good heat dissipation and high overload capability. Other features include:
Outside diameter of only 20 mm and motor length of 57 mm;
Continuous output power of 62 W;
Over 16 mNm continuous torque rating;
Speed up to 52,000 rpm;
Standard operating temperature range -30 to 125 °C;
Pre-loaded high performance ball bearings and electronic commutation.
The motors achieve extremely long life by having no mechanical brushes to wear out. Integrated digital or linear Hall-effect sensors provide feedback to control electronics that provide true servo-motion velocity and position regulation. Options include rear-end shaft and autoclavable version. Complementing the motor series are planetary gearheads, high-resolution encoders, as well as drive electronics and motion controllers with RS-232 and CAN interfaces.
