New Providence, N.J. —New A Series ac servo drives manufactured by Panasonic feature accurate positioning, closed-loop control with a built-in encoder, and Microsoft Windows 95/98-compatible configuration software. They’re available in three lines: Low inertia drives are intended for positioning and semiconductor handling; middle inertia servos for CNC, robotics, and conveyor applications; and high inertia units for woodworking, special CNC machines, and other heavy duty apps. Up to 16 servos can be networked via two serial ports (RS-232/485). These drives have IP65 rating and a 17-bit absolute encoder is optional. www.aromat.com Aromat Corp.
