Dual-axis EZHREN stepper motor controller + driver is designed for off-the-shelf implemen-tation in miniature applications. Measuring 1.6 x 1.6 in. (40 x 40 mm), the high-resolution intelligent device with encoder feedback provides up to 2 A drive current for one axis and up to 1 A for the second with optional second stepper or bi-directional dc driver daughtercard. The unit and daughtercard can microstep up to 1/256 and 1/16 steps, respectively. Product is said to give precise positioning, acceleration, and velocity capability to any stepper motor of NEMA size 23 or smaller. First-time users reportedly can command a stepper motor to in less than 30 min. after opening the box. Device is easily integrated into OEM instrumentation across a wide range of in-dustries. Applications include embedded automation, scientific and optical instruments, medical devices, and any small footprint device that needs rapid implementation of precise dual-axis motion control.
